Ahead of the 140th Canton Fair, organisers announced more than 50 service improvements, including digital navigation and wider support for foreign trade deals.

The 140th China Import and Export Fair will be held in Guangzhou from 15 October to 4 November 2026 in three phases. According to China Central Television on 13 October, more than 50 innovations have been prepared to make the work of exhibitors and buyers easier.

The announced measures include booth navigation through the fair's app, exchange of electronic business cards and automatic summaries of negotiations. For overseas buyers' paperwork, 70 service points with 628 windows have been set up at the airport, railway stations, the exhibition complex and designated hotels.

A separate focus is support for foreign trade operations. More than 230 service providers in logistics and warehousing, finance and insurance, research and design are taking part. According to CCTV, ten categories of business services are covered.

The announced changes concern the organisation of the fair and the availability of related services. At the time of publication the fair had not yet opened, so it is too early to assess the actual results of the new tools or the volume of deals.
