Industry monitoring shows 436,000 tonnes of grain shipped through ports in the first ten days of October, compared with 2.3 million tonnes a year earlier.

Export shipments of Russian grain through port infrastructure totalled 436,000 tonnes on 1–10 October 2026, about 5.3 times less than in the same period last year. The Russian Grain Union's monitoring data were published by Interfax on 12 October.

Elena Tyurina, head of the union's analytical department, told the agency that wheat shipments amounted to 427,400 tonnes against 2 million tonnes a year earlier. Barley fell to 5,500 tonnes from 233,500 tonnes, and corn to 2,700 tonnes from 51,000 tonnes.

Wheat made up most of the shipments in this period. The figures describe the port export channel over ten days and do not equal the results of all grain trade for the month or the season.

The data do not show deliveries to China separately, so the overall decline cannot be applied to the Russia–China route or taken as a sign of lower Chinese demand.
