On 19 July 2026, the Alliance, which brings together chambers of commerce from four regions of Northeast China, was officially opened in Irkutsk. More than 100 delegates attended.
The official opening ceremony of the Dongbei Alliance of Industry and Trade took place in Irkutsk. The new business platform unites the chambers of commerce and industry of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; on the Russian side it focuses on Siberia and the Russian Far East.
According to Baikal State University, more than 100 delegates from large businesses and Chinese provincial governments attended. The Russian delegation was led by Kuzma Aldarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region. Vladimir Salovarov of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia and Professor Vladimir Sinichenko of Baikal State University also spoke.
The Alliance's main goal is a long-term, sustainable mechanism for cross-border cooperation in industry, trade, logistics, tourism, education and science. Siberian producers also took part: the Wild Siberia brand presented gift sets to the guests.
